Rit build for a newbie?
Honestly, the build topic is beyond me at the moment. >< Could someone suggest which skills I should be using early on, and what attributes, if I aim to be a resto Rit?

If you're still on Shing Jea then I'd say go with communing until you're off of the island: the spirits will make your life easier.
If you're further in the game then I would suggest playing around with some of the following skills (this is just off the top of my head):
Spirit Light
Mend Body and Soul
Flesh of my Flesh
Generous Was Tsungrai
Resilient Was Xiko
Soothing Memories
Weapon of Warding
Vengeful Weapon
Recuperation
Life
Just goof around with henchmen and find out what works well for you.
As far as attributes go, you'll eventually want to max restoration out at 16 by buying +1 restoration headgear and applying a superior rune (+3) to it.
Any remaining attribute points can be placed in spawning (if you use spirits) or any other attribute that you have.
Your secondary profession doesn't really matter that much; you'll probably find yourself running a full ritualist skill build. Every secondary has a few useful skills though.
The bottom line is just play around in low level areas until you find skills that you feel compliment your playing style.

A good universal idea for a secondary, where you really wont need to rely on one for skills, is elementalist. With that you can use glyph of of lesser energy which lowers your next few spells by 15 energy so it can definatly help with spamming spells.

congratulations! this was pretty much the most USELESS post ever!
reasoning;
- HE DIDNT EVEN ASK FOR A SECONDARY!
- HE WAS ASKING FOR A HEALING BUILD! (RESTORATION ACTUALLY)
- 2/3 OF THESE SKILLS ARE UTTER SHIT!
insert another coin and try again later!

looks like a good build for a start ... except it consists of 10 skills? kick one of the ashes and one spirit imo.

Those were skill suggestions to play with, not an actual build.

Just to add, use GWT before using Flesh Of My Flesh. Gives you a higher max health, then when you rez the dead party member, drop GWT and you'll be back to about full health.
A nice beginners Restoration build would look something like this:
Restoration: 12
Spawning: 12
Communion: 3
Life
Recouperation
Mend Body And Soul
Weapon of Warding
Wielder's Boon
Resilent Weapon
Generous Was Tsungrai
Flesh Of My Flesh
No elites, good heals. Beginners build.
Hope this helps.
